Walker, Morton Wesley (14 August 1882 - 16
February 1953)
Morton Wesley Walker, 70, Town of Foster,
Humbird, died at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital Monday.
Death was attributed to a heart attack.
The
body will repose at the Bergemann Funeral Home until Thursday, when
it will be taken to the Methodist Church at Humbird for services at
two o’clock. The Rev. Jordan of Eau Claire will officiate.
Interment will be in the Fairchild Cemetery.
Mr.
Walker was born August 14, 1882, to David and Emma (Livermore)
Walker at Colfax. When he was a small boy he moved with his
family to the Town of Foster, Clark County. He received his
education at Fairchild. He worked in the woods until he was
married to Jessie Flick on May 7, 1907, at Humbird. They have
farmed in the vicinity of Fairchild since their
marriage.
He
is survived by his wife, 11 children, 33 grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren. The children are Ralph Walker of
Eau Claire, Melvin Walker of Humbird, Orville Walker of Eau Claire,
Mrs. Albert (Zora) Senteck of Vesper, Berbil Walker of St. Paul,
Mrs. Alvin (Charlotte) Durham of Neillsville, Manley Walker of
Neillsville, Clifford Walker of Humbird, Mrs. Jerry (missing words)
Rapids, Seth Walker of Tribune, Kans., Juanita Walker of Wisconsin
Rapids, and the following brothers and sisters: --Charles Walker of
White Salmon, Ore.; Theodore Walker, Augusta; George Walker and
Cecil Walker both of Altoona; Mrs. Fred Ives of
Osseo.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda, one brother and one sister.
