Huntley, Ella (1858-Nov 3, 1910)
As stated in last week’s Times, Mrs. John Huntley died at Ashland, Ore., Nov. 3rd, as the result of an operation for an abscess. Mrs. Huntley’s many friends here were grieved beyond measure to learn of her untimely demise, for she was known and esteemed here as a woman of great moral and intellectual attainments and a woman who lived a life replete with goodness and charity. She was born Ella Ketchum at West Bend, Wis., in 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Ketchum. She was united in marriage to John Huntley in 1882, and came to Clark County to make their home, settling on a farm northwest of the city. For some years Mr. and Mrs. Huntley were residents of this city and but a few months ago went west to reside. The deceased is survived by her husband, two sons, Lee and Harold, two daughters, Alice and Mayme. Mrs. Huntley made her home life a most ideal one, and it is thus again that Death intervenes to break up a most peaceful and contented union.
