Mrs. Alice Schummell died at her home in this city last Monday, aged 67 years and 8 days.  She was born in England, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. West.  Mrs. Schummell was one of the pioneers of this county and was well known by all the early settlers.  She was an industrious and energetic woman and reared a family that does great credit to her.  She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. James King and Mrs. Boone and her son, Ed Schummell, of Duluth.  It is hoped that a more complete history of her life may be published next week.  The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Congregational Church.
