Maslowski, Shirley Elaine (5 April 1935 - 27
October 2009)
Shirley E. Maslowski, age 74, of Thorp, passed
away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Wissota Health in Chippewa
Falls.
Shirley Elaine Moen was born on April 5, 1935, in
Withee, WI, the daughter of Chester and Leona (Nindorf) Moen.
She was raised in and received her education in the Thorp and
Withee area. She graduated from Withee High School in
1953.
She
married Edward Maslowski in 1954 at St. Michael’s Catholic
Church in Chicago. They later moved back to Wisconsin and farmed
until 1975. Shirley worked at the Thorpedo restaurant for
five years, and then at ITT Life Insurance until the company moved
out of town. She then worked as a baker for the remainder of
her working days.
Shirley loved to travel, play cards and games.
She always had a book near at hand. Shirley liked to have fun
and didn’t take life too seriously.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her husband, Ed,
and her sister, Janice Blume, and the seven children she and Ed
raised: Jean Emery, Nancy (Arlen) Offord, Sally (Keith) Seaman,
Susan Leonard, Charlie Maslowski and Michael (Heidi)
Maslowski. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jesse
(Jodi) Smith, Albert Smith, Jamie Smith, Mitch Offord, Luke Seaman
and Carmen (Brian) Abramczak; and her great-grandchildren: Carter
Smith, Tyler Maslowski, Brock Maslowski, Reese Maslowski and Thomas
Abramczak.

Saturday, November 7, 2009, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic

will follow in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m.
