Sneider, Anna #2 (26 JUL 1875 - 10 JUL 1954)

 

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Wednesday morning, July 14 for Mrs. Michael Sneider, 78, of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), who passed away on July 10th, 1954 at the Stanley Hospital.

 

Rev. Francis Piekarski officiated at the requiem mass, assisted by Rev. Edward Maselewicz and Rev. Eugene Knopka.

 

Anna Kurtinaitis was born in Lithuania on July 26, 1875.  She came to America in April 1897 and in January 1900 was united in marriage to Mike Sneider at Thorp, coming here from Baltimore, Md., where she resided for two years.

 

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Mike Sneider Jr. of Thorp and John (address unknown), two daughters, Mrs. Anna Urban of Thorp and Mrs. Helen Simkus of Chicago; three brothers, John Kurtinaitis of Thorp, Frank of Neillsville, and Joseph of Cle Elum, Wash.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Raymond Halagera, Gedmon Mikolainis, Louis Malecki, Edward Milewski, Albin Kurtinaitis and Stanley Mamayek.
