Bernice E. Tucker, 97, of Neillsville died
Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation
Center in Neillsville.
Bernice Estelle Wierenzenski was born Oct. 30,
1912, in the Town of York in Clark County, the daughter of Nicholas
and Mary (Malitzka) Wierenzenski. She received her education
at the Merry Vale School and graduated in 1930 from Granton High
School. She then went to work for the shoe factory in
Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Allan Tucker of
Sparta Dec. 22, 1937, in Milwaukee. Allan died in 1968.
Bernice continued to live in Milwaukee until she moved to
Neillsville in 1997.
She
is survived by two sons, Patrick Scott (Dolores) Tucker of Fond du
Lac and Thomas John (Donna) Tucker of Platteville, CO; four
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is further
survived by her very dear friend, Lucy Hetzel of
Neillsville.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; four brothers, Paul, Max, John and Frank; and a sister,
Frieda.
Private services will be held at a later
date.
