Schulz, Augusta (24 October 1872 –26 March 1953) 
 

Mrs. William Schulz, 80, Neillsville, Route 2, died Thursday morning, March 26, 1953, at her farm home. 
 

Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. William Koehler officiating.  Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery, with the Georgas Funeral Home in charge of the services. 
 

Mrs. Schulz (nee Augusta Gahl), a native of Pomeraine, Germany, was born October 24, 1872, to Mr. and Mrs. John Gahl.  In 1882 she came to the United States with her parents and settled on a farm near Sheffield, Ill.  She was married to William J. Schulz on May 19, 1892, in Huntley, Ill. They farmed there for several years before coming to Clark County and settling on the farm that was to be her home until her death.  Her husband preceded her in death February 17, 1947. 
 

Mrs. Schulz was a member of the Women’s Guild of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.  
 

Surviving her are two sons, Arthur and William at the farm home on Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Ida) Moatman, Minneapolis; Mrs. Ole (Minnie) Aspen, Neillsville. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.  She also leaves two brothers, John Gahl, Neillsville, and William Gahl of Union, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Anna Deidrich of Huntley, Ill.  One brother and one sister preceded her in death. 
 

Pallbearers were; Henry Stucki, Harry Hauge, Hiram Haugen, Harold Milbreit, Albert Zank and Henry Harder. Flower ladies were: Mrs. Kenneth Van Gorden, Mrs. Henry Stucki, Mrs. Alfred Hovey and Mrs. Fred Wall.  The men’s chorus sang, with Mark Vornholt directing. 
 

Out of town persons attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moatman, Minneapolis; William Gahl and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gahl, Union, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. herb Aspen, Prospect Heights,  Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Gahl, Dundee, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. William J. Pinnow and Mr. and Mrs. William Regberg, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Milford Tesmer, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pinnow, Marengo, Ill.
