Spiegel, Charles Carl (8 June 1873 - 7 April
1953)
Charles Carl Spiegel, 79, Town of Pine Valley,
died Tuesday, April 7, 1953, at the Neillsville
Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted from the Georgas
Funeral Home April 10, with the Rev. Virgil Nulton
officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Mr.
Spiegel was born June 8, 1873, in the Town of Grant to Henry and
Johanna (Schoengarth) Spiegel and had been a lifelong resident of
Clark County. He received his education in the rural schools
and farmed his entire life.
He
was married to Minnie Struwe in 1897 in Neillsville. One son,
Albert, was born to them. His wife preceded him in death
September 17, 1947.
He
leaves, besides his son, two brothers, Alfred of Neillsville and
August of Port Angeles, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Clara Schafer
of Milwaukee.
Two
brothers, Edward and Henry, and two sisters, Ida and Mrs. Frank
(Martha) Lepke of Neillsville, are dead.
Miss Betty Kosmosky sang, accompanied by Mrs.
Virgil Nulton.
Out of town folks attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Spiegel, Antigo; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Spiegel, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Spiegel of Granton.
