Horswill, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Golden - 1953) 
 

Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Horswill celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary Saturday evening at the V. F. W. Hall.  The celebration was arranged by their seven children.  The tables were decorated with flowers and a wedding cake and the outstanding decoration was a centerpiece of a miniature gold rocking chair filled with 50 silver dollars - each wrapped in gold paper - a gift of their children.  They were also the recipients of many other gifts and a sum of money. 
 

A highlight of the evening was the mock ceremony performed by Wayne Wall, acting as master of ceremonies. 
 

Cards and games were played. 
 

Their children, who were all present are: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Horswill and family and Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Horswill and family all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Horswill and family, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Halbert Horswill and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horswill and children of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Paulus and family, La Crosse, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wall and children of Chippewa Falls. 
 

Other out of town guests were from Owen, Humbird, Chippewa Falls, Janesville, La Crosse and Milwaukee.
