County News 

 

York Township

 

Jno. Dwyer, chairman of this town, has sold his farm to a Marshfield party. Consideration, $7,500.

 

Reports have it that Geo. Root, who is sick with typhoid, is now better, also, that two other members of the family are down with the same disease.

 

A. L. Snyder of Granton, Sundayed at home.

 

Mrs. Van Dusen of Fond du Lac, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. M. Whalen, and other relatives in this locality, returned home last Saturday.

 

Jno. Vandebert had a new geared Aermotor windmill erected on his farm lst week. He expects to grind and cut feed and saw wood as well as pump water.

 

Milt. Snyder is improving his house this fine weather by having it plastered.

 

Ed. Bailery and wife of Greenwood, were called here last week by the sickness and death of her brother, Noel Rogers.

 

Jennie Humlston is visiting friends at Colby.

 

Died--Herbert F. Gibson died Oct, 16, of heart failure. He also was very low with typhoid fever at the time of his death. Mr. Gibson was one of the leading young men of this vicinity and was an earnest Christian worker. He leaves a wife and many friends to mourn his death.

 

Died--The angel of death has again entered our midst and taken from us the much respected friend and neighbor, Noel Rogers, a young man about 30 years of age, naturally very strong and robust, was stricken with typhoid fever about two weeks ago, death coming to his relief Friday morning. He leaves a wife and three small children to mourn death.
