County News

 

Granton, Wisconsin 

 

Robert Kurth shipped cattle and sheep from here last Saturday.

 

Wm. Neinas made our burg a friendly call last Saturday.

 

Hon. Robert MacBride spoke on the issues of this campaign from a Democratic standpoint, in the Granton town hall last Saturday.

 

Lewis Reichert, who has been visiting in southern Wisconsin and in northern Illinois, returned home a few days ago, and has resumed his duties in P. J. Kemmeter's store.

 

George B Parkhill of Thorp, will discuss the issues of the campaign next Saturday night. He will present Republican views. Don't fail to hear him.

 

Miss McGinnis, who has been engaged as nurse near here, has returned to her home at Nevins.

 

Osgood & Lee have placed a new boiler in their planing mill.

 

Mrs. E. M. Rowe of Neillsville, was the guest of Mrs. Warner Davis last Wednesday.

 

Andrew Paulson has picked quite a number of ripe strawberries from his patch the past few days.

 

Frank Potter and Henry Carleton of York, were callers here Saturday.

 

Only a few more days and politics will be at an end, at least for four years. We are all McKinley down here.
