Diedrich, Mary J. (26 JUN 1954)
St. Peter & Paul Church at Gilman was the setting for a double ring ceremony in which Miss Mary Jane Diedrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Diedrich, Jump River, became the bride of Gerald Lee Yager, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yager, Hannibal, June 26, 1954 at 9 a.m.
The service was performed by Rev. John Dzurko. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride’s white gown was fashioned with fitted lace bodice, nylon tulle over white satin trimmed with iridescents and long close fitting pointed sleeves of Chantilly lace. The bouffant skirt extended into a chapel train.
She carried a white prayer book, a gift of the groom, on which was placed a colored orchid, lily of the valley and white satin streamers.
Miss Patsy Pirroni of Chicago was matron of honor, and Miss Arlene Couillard of Menasha, and Miss June Brassard of Jump River were bridesmaids.
Warren Place of Manitowoc was best man.
The Jump River Hall was beautifully decorated for the dinner which was served from 2 to 5 o’clock. Around 700 guests were present. A large crowd attended the dance in the evening.
The couple went to Niagara Falls, N.Y., for a honeymoon, after which they will be at home to their friends at 8628 West Melvina St., Milwaukee.
