Waterman, Richie (2 July 1880 - 19 May 1953) 
 

Mrs. William (Richie) Waterman, 72, died May 19, 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hunter of Garden City, Mich., after several months’ illness.   
 

Funeral services were held Wednesday evening at Wayne, Mich., prior to bringing the body to Neillsville for burial.  Services were conducted May 23, from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.  Burial took place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  
 

Mrs. Waterman was born July 2, 1880, to Mills and Ruth (Kapp) March in Iowa and received her education there.  She moved with her parents at the age of 16 to Madison, where she worked and married William Waterman.  After their marriage they came to Clark County and farmed his father’s farm until 1930, when they moved to Abbotsford.  There they operated a garage for several years.  They moved to Wisconsin Rapids and retired.  Since the death of her husband in 1937, Mrs. Waterman made her home with her daughter in Garden City, Mich.  She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. 
 

Surviving her are the daughter, Mrs. John (Alva) Hunter, and one son, Victor of Milwaukee.  She also leaves nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Two brothers and four sisters are deceased. 
 

Pallbearers were: Irving and Theamore Vine, Jesse Schultz, Alvin Kissinger, and Elmer and Leon Kapfer.  Flowers were in charge of the wives of the pallbearers.  Soloist was Helen Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Nulton. 
 

Out of town persons attending the services were the following: Frank Warner, Rollie W. Warner and Rollie A. Werner of Janesville; Mildred Wipfel, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wipfel, Mrs. Mary Wipfel, Mrs. Alice Walloch, Mr. and Mrs. John Schliter, all of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hunter, Georgia Ann Hunter, Mrs. Frank Eilbesz, Mrs. James W. Eckes, Reva Hunter and Edmund Hinkelman, Marshfield; Mrs. E. Junchen, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. John Paterick, Vesper; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt, Loyal; Gladys Schultz, Beloit; Mrs. Ruby Syth, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. John Roder and family, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Volz, Arena; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kissinger, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Willgrubs, Sparta; Mrs. Eileen Gandy, Ennis, Texas, and Roger and Gary Krasselt, Chili.
