Linster, Katherine (29 May 1891 - 1 June
1953)
Mrs. N. J. Linster, 62, of 10 Hewett Street,
Neillsville, died June 1, 1953, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau
Claire, where she had been ill since last February. Death was
attributed to a heart ailment.
Funeral services will be held today Thursday,
June 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Leketas
officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s
Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Linster was born May 29, 1891, in the Town
of Weston to Michael and Mary (Schwellenbach) Prock and lived all
her life in the Neillsville vicinity with the exception in 1914
when she worked in Sparta at the state school for under privileged
children. She came back to Neillsville in 1916 and had
resided here since that time, working as a clerk in various stores
in town. Katherine Prock was married July 5, 1916, to Nick
Linster of Neillsville. One daughter, Genevieve, was born to
them.
She
was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of
the Christian Mother’s Society of the
church.
The
body is lying in state at the Bergemann Funeral Home until time of
service. A general Rosary will be held Wednesday evening at
9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She
leaves her husband, Nick Linster, and the daughter, Mrs. George
(Genevieve) Gilmore of Hustisford, Wis., one sister, Mrs. Bertha
Wepfer, Madison; and two brothers, Linus Prock, Globe and Ed Prock
of Owen.

Funeral services were held last Thursday morning
at 9 a.m. for Mrs. Nick Linster, 62, at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church. Fr. Andrew Bofenkamp officiated at the church.
Interment prayers were said by Fr. Peter Leketas at the
cemetery.
The
Christian Mothers Society attended the services in a
body.
Pallbearers were: Martin Feuerstein, Joseph
Schield, Everett Skroch, Paul Skroch, William Schwellenbach and
Joseph Zilk.
Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. George Gilmore, Hustisford; Mrs. Bertha Wepfer and daughter, Madison; Dr. Joseph Wepfer, Milwaukee; Edward Prock, Owen; William Prock, Rice Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Seitz and son, Tomah; Anna and Cecelia Seitz, Tomah; John Casper, Tomah; Mrs. James McConnell, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Prock, Eau Claire; William Linster, Fairchild; Mrs. M. C. Scherer, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bodoh, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. John Grebel, Randolph.
