Minnie J. Bell, 83, of Ripon and longtime rural Humbird resident died Thursday morning, Nov. 5, 2009, in the Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.

She married Robert A. Bell June 8, 1944, in Minneapolis.  The couple first farmed near Cadott for five years before moving to Humbird.  Robert Bell died Sept. 13, 1996.   Following Robert’s death, Minnie continued to reside in rural Humbird until moving to Ripon in October 2008.

Minnie had been employed at Dadco Food Products (Roma Pizza) of Black River Falls.

She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, baking, canning, cooking and writing (compiling her family’s history).

In addition to her husband, Robert A. Bell, Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Thelma Grassmeier; and two brothers, Vern and Earl Hedding.

A celebration of Minnie’s life will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Kenneth and Debra Bell residence, rural Humbird.
