Macziejwski, Wojciek (12 April 1873 -
1953)
A
requiem mass was read Thursday for Wojciek Macziejwski, 80, at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Peter Leketas
officiating. Burial was in the parish
cemetery.
Mr.
Macziejwski was born April 12, 1873, in Russia. He came to
this country in 1901 and worked in the steel mills in Pittsburgh
for a few years. He later worked as a fisherman on a lake
carrier.
He
has been a resident of Clark County since 1914, when he went to
work on a farm in the Thorp area. He never married. He
was a member of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at
Thorp.
