Nowalk, Laura Emma (Marriage - 11 July
1953)
A
childhood romance culminated in marriage at Portsmouth, Va., when
Miss Laura Emma Nowalk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nowalk,
became the bride of Ralph Riedel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
Riedel, at the navy chapel. The ceremony waws performed by
the chaplain at the Navy base on July 11.
The
bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of
white Chantilly lace over net with veil, and carried a bouquet of
red roses and carnations. Her attendant was her sister, Mrs.
Shirley Barth, who was attired in white nylon and carried yellow
roses.
The
groom was attended by a close friend, Dick Munsy. Both of the young
men are serving in the navy and are attending school at the navy
base.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Granton High School.
