Darling, Mrs. Abner (May 31, 1835 - May 9, 1911) 
 

Mrs. Abner Darling died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Shummel.  Deceased was born in Pennsylvania on May 31, 1835, and was united in marriage to Abner Darling in 1866.  In 1871 they came to Clark County to reside, which has ever since been their home.  Mrs. Darling was the mother of three children, two little sons dying in infancy.  Mrs. Geo. Shummel is the surviving daughter, together with the husband of the deceased. 
 

Mrs. Darling was one of the local W.R.C., and during her life took a great deal of interest in the affairs of this organization and also in all public matters.  She was a capable and conscientious lady and lived a splendid life. 
 

The funeral will be held this afternoon at the Congregational Church at 1 o’clock.
