Hans Carlson, as old resident of this city, died Sunday evening in Chicago, death being caused by a sunstroke. Mr. Carlson had gone to Chicago a few months ago and had been working there. He was born in Christianson, Norway, and was 65 years ago. He was united in marriage in 1870 and 30 years ago came to this country to follow his trade, that of a carpenter. Mr. Carlson was well known here, and was a capable and efficient workman. He is survived by his wife and six children and niece, Miss Josepha Johnson. The children are Carl, Hans, Thomas, Mrs. Ervin Ayers, Mrs. Thornton and Mrs. Guy Jones.
