Kind, Darlene M. (Marriage - 24 October
1953)
A
pretty fall wedding took place October 24, 1953, when Miss Darlene
M. Kind and Elmer J. Speich, both of Greenwood, were married.
The ceremony took place in the Grace Methodist Church of Greenwood
with the Rev. A. C. Riley performing the double ring
ceremony.
The
bride, who walked with her father to the altar, which was decorated
with glads and chrysanthemums, wore a dress of cotillion blue net
over satin with a net jacket.
She
was attended by Miss Viola Kramer of Watertown as maid of
honor. Gary Speich attended his brother as best man.
Ushers were: Orlando Kind and Otto Kind, Jr.
The
wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents
for approximately 40 guests. Supper was served in the church
basement.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the
Greenwood High School.
They left on a wedding trip to the south and will
be home after October 31.
Out of town guests at the wedding were Miss Viola Kramer of Watertown and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rasmussen and family of Marshfield.
