Kocherer, Dolores (2 OCT 1954)

Miss Dolores Kocherer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kocherer, and Leonard Krych, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Krych, both formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 2^nd, 1954 at three o’clock at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Chicago.  Rev. James W. McKeown officiated at the double ring ceremony.  The altar was beautifully decorated with bouquets and mixed flowers.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose for her wedding gown of all nylon tulle with imported Chantilly lace with a Queen Ann collar.  The bouffant skirt terminated in a court train, and her long fitted sleeves tapered to points.  Her fingertip veil was of French illusion attached to a crown of seed pearls.  She wore a crown of seed pearls.  She wore a white gold wrist watch, a gift of the groom and carried a bouquet of stephanotis centered with an orchid.

Attending the bride was Miss Helen Pudlik, a friend of the bride, as maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Donald Hassing, sister of the bride, Miss Joan Yurkowski, niece of the groom, and Mrs. Jos. Sumiec, sister of the groom.  Miss Sandra Hassing, Nice of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.

The attendants wore waltz length dresses, styled with strapless lace bodice and fitted jackets.  The skirts were handkerchief style with net over satin in shrimp color.  They wore matching hats and wristlets and carried bouquets of yellow mums.  Each wore rhinestone earrings and necklaces, gifts of the bride.

The groom’s attendants were Donald Hassing, brother-in-law of the bride, Raymond Sokolsky, nephew of the groom, and Henry Gocal, friend of the groom.  Eugene Hassing, nephew of the bride, was junior groomsman.

A reception was held in the evening at Club Cabana fro 250 guests.  A three tier wedding cake adorned the table.

The bride is a graduate of the Stanley High School and is employed at Motorola Inc. in Chicago.  The groom is a veteran of the U.S. navy.

After a took week wedding trip to Florida and points south, the couple will be at home at 2102 N. Hayne, Chicago, Ill.

Out of town guests were: Mr. John Kocherer, Mr. George Hass, Mr. and Mrs. Chet Glasshof and family, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Krych, Mr. and Mrs. George Panek and family and Don Urban, all of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Krych and family of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sokalsky and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dudkiewicz, of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hass and family of Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Splinter of Dubuque, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Splinter of Rockford, Ill.
