James A. Herdrich, 48, Greenwood, Wis., died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, November 16, 2009, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marty Nigon, Dale Lindner, Jon Lindner, Mitch Lindner, Frank Fabian an Mark Gregorich.

James Alan Herdrich was born on March 12, 1961, in Neillsville, to Wayne and Elaine (nee Lindner) Herdrich. He received his education in Greenwood and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1979. After completing his education, he began farming in the town of Eaton, rural Greenwood. He married Susan Noeldner on Nov 8, 1986, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. After their marriage, he continued to farm until his health would not allow it. In his spare time, he loved to play cards, hunt and drive tractor. He was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Herdrich, Greenwood; four children, Jennifer Herdrich, Jana Herdrich, and Renee Herdrich, all of Greenwood; his mother, Elaine Herdrich, Greenwood; his father, Wayne (Marjorie) Herdrich, Tomah; five siblings, Kenneth (Trudy) Herdrich, Greenwood, Janet (Tim) Wojeik, Gilman, Jeanne (Peter) Opell, Greenwood, Barbara (Edward) Genett, Auburndale, and Kathy (Douglas) Rondorf, Marengo, Ill.; nieces, nephews; and many friends.

His family requests that memorials be directed to either House of the Dove, 613 Western St., Marshfield, WI 54449, or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 121 N. Main St., Greenwood, WI 54437.
