The 1959 graduating class of Dorchester High School met for their fiftieth reunion October 10 at El Norteno Restaurant.
Guest teachers present were Everet Sonalla and wife Dorothy, Vernon Fait, Margaret Groke and Ruby Pinter.
Books written by class members Larry Grewe and James Janstch were featured. An article written by Donald Krueger was presented to Mrs. Gorke.
Deceased members remembered in the opening prayer were Duane Umluaft and Richard Baker.
The class and teachers enjoyed an evening of reminiscing and catching upon what the retirement years hold in store. The class voted to have another reunion in five years with Karen (Robida) Apfelbeck to head the planning.
Unable to attend were Don Krueger, Lorna (Hoffman) Larson, Bruce Mehner, Gerald Gonnering, Mary Ann (Miller) Paul, Larry Paul, Sharon (Rabhel) Brehm, Jim Vieguet, Quenton Gipp, Gary Hamm, Ronald Ludwig, Dorothy (Tishendorf) Goodwin, James Milligan and James Janstch.
