Turczyn, Andrew(28 Oct. 1915- 18 April 1989)
NeillsvilleServices will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Neillsville, for Andrew Turczyn, 73, Neillsville,
who died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield.
The Rev. Joseph N. Henseler will officiate. Music will be provided
by the St. Mary's Choir, accompanied by Virginia Gassen. Burial
will be in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David and Robert Keller, Mike Lawson, James
Boyer, Richard Lawson, Steve Short, and Bruce Boyer.
Visitation will be at the Gresche Funeral Home, Neillsville, from
6-9 p.m. today and until 10 a.m. Friday.. A prayer service will be
at 8 tonight at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1915, in Chicago, to Martin and Mary Turczyn.
He attended schools in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, and
graduated from Neillsville High School.
He married Jean C. Vikary Jan. 10, 1948, in Chicago.
He moved with his family to the town of Pine Valley in 1917. As a
young man, he farmed with his parents. After his marriage, he and
his wife took over the farm, which they operated until 1979. He
then retired and turned the fsarm over to a son.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church..
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary)
Lawson of Lynchberg, Va.; Mrs. Gene (Gloria) Trotta of Washington,
D.C.; and Mrs. Bruce (Betty) Boyer and Mrs. Steve (Carol) Short,
both of Neillsville; one son, James, of Neillsville; on sister,
Mrs. Phyllis Mallicot of San Bernadino, Calif.; and nine
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother.
