Mrs. Edna Lawler returned from Menomonie Sunday, where she has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Lawler.

 

Clyde Hobbs of Fairchild, was a caller last week.

 

The Ladies' Aid meets next week with Mrs. Houghton.

 

Mrs. E. Ecker and Anna of Fairchild, visited with M. Andrew's people Sunday.

 

Wm. Stillman and mother of Cleveland, called here Sunday.

 

Fred Melchoir, who is to work at Altoona, came home Saturday night returning on the morning train Sunday.

 

Mrs. A. Hyack and children of Fairchild, who have been visiting here the past week, returned home Friday.

 

Mrs. M. Gloden called at Fairchild Saturday.

 

F. Creveston and Ira Houghton our painters went to work at Merrillan Monday.

 

H. Sparks was called to Oshkosh Wednesday on account of the illness of his sister.

 

Martha Gorbeck called on her sister Tillie Monday, while on her way to Merrillan, where she has employment.

 

Charley Sechler of Sechlerville, S. M. Marsh of Neillsville, and Ex-surveyor Powers of B. R. Falls, were here apprising property for change of railroad.

 

We hear that E. S. Wise, formerly of this place, intends to leave Helena, Montana, for Salt Lake City.

 

Rev. J. E. Cooke went to B. R. Falls Wednesday evening to a ministerial meeting. Mrs. Cook remaining with her parents at Fairchild.

 

Rial Schnell had the sad misfortune of loosing his left hand in a corn shredder, while working at Sam Jones' last week. Drs. Schumacher and King, who dressed the hand, tried to save the thumb and little finger, but it had to be taken off at the wrist.

 

B. A. Wise left Tueday morning for Denver, Colorado, for his health.

 

Madge McKimm, who is sewing at Fairchild, Sundayed at home.

 

Mrs. McLyman of Fairchild, visited with her daughter, Mrs. Cooke, Saturday.

 

The Humbird band gives a dance Friday night at Simon's hall.

 

Mabel Snyder of the North school, sundayed at home.

 

Jessie Mortiboy spent Saturday and Sunday at her home in Sechlerville.
