Michlig, Lorraine (Marriage - 4 September
1954)
Miss Lorraine Michlig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Michlig of Curtiss, exchanged her marriage vows with Myron
Ewert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ewert, on Saturday, September 4,
1954, in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford.
The Rev. Fr. Raymond Schultz performed the
ceremony.
Miss Michlig wore an aqua length dress with white
accessories. A corsage of yellow roses and white mums was
pinned to the shoulder line of her dress.
Mrs. Donald Frane of Colby, sister of the bride,
acted as her matron of honor. She was dressed in a black and
red dress with black accessories. Her corsage was of
yellow roses and carnations.
Donald Frane served the groom as best
man.
Following the nuptial ceremony a supper and
reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The
couple is now on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and after
September 10 will make their home in Curtiss.
The bride attended the Abbotsford high school and at present is a beauty shop operator in Owen. The groom is a graduate of the Colby High School and in engaged in farming.
