Volovsek, Betty (Marriage - 25 September
1954)
Miss Betty Volovsek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Volovsek of Willard, became the bride of Joseph Fraid, Jr.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fraid, Sr. of Menominee, Mich., in a
double ring ceremony performed Saturday, September 25, 1954, in the
Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard. The couple repeated
their matrimonial vows before the Rev. Fr. Augustine Svete, O. F.
M.
The
bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a
beautiful floor length gown of white nylon lace over white satin.
Her veil was of sheer silk illusion net attached to a tiara
cap. Her floral arrangement consisted of white gladioli and
tiny red roses.
Three bridal aides preceded her down the
aisle. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Frank Sladish of
Willard, was matron of honor, and the bride’s brother,
Alphonso Volovsek, was best man.
The bride and groom are employed at the Allis Chalmers plant in Milwaukee, where they will reside.
