Seager, Elsie (25 February 1877 - 28 September 1954) 
 

Miss Elsie Seager, 77, died Tuesday, September 28, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ross, 215 W. 5th Street, Marshfield, after being ill for a week. 
 

Funeral services were held Friday, October 1, from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Virgil Nulton officiated, with burial taking place in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Miss Seager was born February 25, 1877, at Neillsville.  She received her early education in the schools of the county and had lived all her life in the Neillsville area.  Following the death of her parents, she and her brother farmed in the Town of Weston on the farm now owned by Lawrence DeMert.  After the death of her brother she moved to a house on Grand Avenue. This was her home until about two weeks ago, when she sold it to Mrs. Theo. Schwamb.  She had planned to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Ross in Marshfield, but became ill soon after leaving Neillsville.   
 

She is survived by eight cousins, Herbert Gray, Owen; Mrs. Richard Salter and Mrs. William Wepfer, Colby; Mrs. Morris Ross and Mrs. William Rakow, Marshfield; Mrs. Ray MacDonald, Beaver Dam; Kenneth Roate and Dan Standard, Minneapolis. 
 

The body reposed at the Hansen Funeral Home in Marshfield from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning, when it was brought to the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville.   
 

Mrs. Virgil Nulton and Mrs. Darwin Graves sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Florence Counsell at the organ. 
 

Pallbearers were: Leo Wasserburger, Robert Hopfer, Gust Carl, Oscar Christopherson, Otto Warren and John Krejci. 
 

Out of town persons attending the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ross, Mrs. William Rakow, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stoltzmen, Mrs. Richard Hansen, Mrs. Vinton Hanson, Mrs. Mike Steinwagner and Mrs. Carl Johnson, all of Marshfield; Mrs. Ray Mac Donald, Beaver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wepfer, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. William Wepfer and Mrs. Harold Brockhaus, Colby; and Herbert Gray, Owen.
