Neville, James (24 April 1870 - 20 October
1954)
Funeral services were held for James Neville, 84,
who died at the Clark County Hospital at Owen on Wednesday, October
20. Services were held October 23, from St. Mary’s
Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Peter Leketas officiated.
Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Neville was born April 24, 1870, in Canada
and moved to the Town of Weston in Clark County with his parents
when he was one year old. He received his elementary
education in the Mound School. During his boyhood he worked
in the woods and on various farms and spent most of his life in
Clark County.
He is survived by one brother, William, of
Neillsville.
Pallbearers were William Neville, Jr., Leo
Neville, Laurence Cox, Arnold Syth, John Syth and Simon
Wehrman.
Out of town persons attending services were: Mr.
and Mrs. Mike Barney and son, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Nelan Wills,
Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hatton, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Neville, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Cox and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Simon Wehrman, Mr. and Mrs. John Syth, Mr. and Mrs. George
Syth, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Syth, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Neville and children, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. William Neville, Jr.,
Granton.
