Mandel, June
Wanda (Marriage - 12 Apr. 1958)
Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Voge are now living in their new home on Butternut Street,
following a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin. Their marriage
took place April 12 in a ceremony at the V.F.W. hall at Marshfield
during which two daughters of the Alfred E. Mandels became
brides.
Miss Shirley
Gwen Mandel and Donald Erwin Voge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph E.
Voge, of Abbotsford, and Miss June Wanda Mandel and Victor Freeman
McHone, of Granton, were the couples. Performing the ceremony was
Loyal Petran, a representative of the Pastoral Bible Institute of
Brooklyn, N.Y. He is a son of the late Fred Petran, who officiated
at the marriage of the bride’s parents.
The brides
wore identical gowns of waltz length embroidered nylon tulle over
taffeta. Crowns of seed pearls and rhinestones held their shoulder
length veils. They carried cascade bouquets of Easter lilies with
lilac and white carnations and laurel leaves.
Mrs.
Voge’s matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Wibben, of Colby,
sister of the groom, and Miss Judith Wibben, his niece, was flower
girl.
Mrs. Wibben
wore an orchid colored waltz length gown of lace and net over
taffeta with a matching head piece. Judith wore a white ruffled
gown of net and lace over satin. They carried nosegay bouquets of
carnations to match their dresses.
Mrs.
McHone’s matron of honor was Mrs. Arla Mae Wellnitz, Loyal.
She wore a green waltz-length gown of lace and net over taffeta.
Her headpiece was a braided crown with rhinestones trim, and her
flowers were a nosegay of green and white carnations to match their
dresses.
Mr.
Voge’s best man was Herbert R. Mandel, of Loyal, brother of
the brides.
Brent
Carpenter, nephew of the brides, was ring bearer. Performing the
ushering duties were Robert Wibben of Colby and Harold Kuehmichel,
of Marshfield.
Both brides are graduates of the Loyal high school. Mrs. Voge has been doing secretarial work in Marshfield. Mr. Voge, a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, is an auto mechanic.
