Mrs. Lena
Tonn, 70, a former town of Green Grove resident, died at St.
Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, at 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral
services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Curtiss,
at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Theodore C. Predoehl
officiated.
The former
Lena Pribbernow was born Aug. 16, 1887, in the town of Green Grove,
Clark county. She attended the rural schools in that area and
married Arthur H. Tonn Oct. 26, 1910, in the Green Grove Lutheran
church. She was a member of the Ladies’ Aid of St.
Paul’s Lutheran church, and had lived in Green Grove all her
life until two weeks ago, when she and her husband moved to
Abbotsford.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Roland, Mendota, Ill., Byron, Kewanee, Ill.; and two daughters, Pearl Maki, Longview, Wash.; and Lyrol Heckman, Chicago, Ill. Survivors also include six grand children, two sisters and three brothers. One son, Norman, preceded her in death.
