Heldt, Carol (Marriage - 28 May 1958)

Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Mantik are making their home on a farm near Edgar. Their marriage took place Thursday afternoon in the Assembly of God church, Athens, at 2:00 o’clock. The Rev. Daniel Hanke performed the ceremony.

The bride, the former Carol Heldt, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Heldt, Athens. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mantik, Abbotsford.

As the bride was given in marriage by her father, she wore a dress of ice blue bridal satin covered with French illusion net and Chantilly lace. It featured a Sabrina neckline which was outlined with pastel sequins, and she wore a bouffant skirt with flounces of lace.

Miss Nancy Mantik, Abbotsford, was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Gloria Mantik and Miss Amy Heldt. The maid of honor wore a pink, floor length gown of ruffled lace over taffeta, and other attendants were dressed in similar gowns of Nile green.

Sally Kae Mantik, sister of the groom, wore a dress similar to the bride’s, and the miniature groom was the bride’s brother, Dale.

Best man was Arthur Heldt and groomsmen were Roger Heldt and Raymond Diedrich. Ushers were Russell Hordt and Jerold Heldt.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Art E. Heldt sang, "I Love You Truly," and Mr. and Mrs. Enos Mantik sang "God Will Take Care of You." They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Walter Heldt.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Marathon Park dining hall and supper was served to about 275 guests.

Mrs. Mantik attended Athens high school and Mr. Mantik, Abbotsford high school.
