Funeral
services for Mrs. Margaret Schmitt, 88, who died Monday after an
illness of two years, will be held Friday morning at 9:30 at St.
John’s Catholic church, Marshfield. Burial will follow in the
Colby cemetery.
The former
Margaret Dolan was born May 14, 1890, at Mellen. She was married to
Frank Schmitt on Oct. 24, 1914 in Mellen. After their marriage they
settled in Colby and lived there until 1940 when they moved to
Wausau. After the death of her husband on Dec. 18, 1940, she moved
to Abbotsford and in 1954 went to Marshfield.
The
following children survive: Henry, Marshfield; Cecil, Owen;
Sylvester, Cudahy; and Arnold, Milwaukee. There are two grand
children.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ed Leith, California; and Mrs. Robert Lee, Mellen; one brother, Ed Dolan, Mellen.
