Oscar
Nelson, 63, suffered a coronary thrombosis on May 2 an died in his
sleep May 25, at Los Angeles. Internment was made in Forest Lawn
Park, Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, on May 27.
Mr. and Mrs.
Nelson, formerly of Abbotsford, had made plans to come to
Abbotsford for their vacation this summer. While living here, he
operated a dray line and was employed by the village. He also
served as village marshall.
When they
left for California, Mr. Nelson was employed as a security police
up to the time he was stricken in May.
Mr. Nelson was born at Red Wood Falls, Jan. 2, 1895. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Karen Hayes, and grand son, Scot S. Hayes, of San Jose, California.
