A. Timmerman Installed at Green Grove
The Rev.
Howard A. Timmerman was installed as pastor of St. Paul’s and
St. Luke’s congregations of the Green Grove parish, Sunday,
July 20, at 2:00 o’clock.
The service
was held at St. Paul’s church with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler
of Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, performing the rite of
ordination and installation.
Rev.
Timmerman is a graduate of Concordia College, Milwaukee. In 1953 he
entered Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., where he received his
bachelor of arts degree in 1955. Through the school year of
1956-1957, he served as vicar of Concordia Lutheran church,
Jamestown, North Dakota. On June 6, 1958, Mr. Timmerman was
graduated from Concordia Seminary, and accepted the call extended
to him by the Green Grove parish to become their
pastor.
Rev. Timmerman is the first of his family to enter the ministry. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Timmerman of Chicago. His wife, the former Gloria Jean Genge, is from Milwaukee. The Timmermans will make their home in the parsonage at St. Paul’s church.
