Bunke, Clara
(25 June 1879 - 19 July 1958)
Mrs. Clara
Bunke, 79, died Saturday shortly after suffering a heart attack at
the Willard Collins home near Stetsonville, where she had been
living the past ten months.
Mrs. Bunke,
the former Clara Rakow, was born June 25, 1879, in East Prussia. In
June, 1905, she was married in Germany to Otto Bunke. They came to
the United States and lived in Sheboygan and then came to the
neighboring rural area and also lived in
Dorchester.
After the
death of Mr. Bunke in 1943, Mrs. Bunke assisted in a number of
homes in this vicinity.
They had no
children.
The funeral
was held Tuesday afternoon at St. Peter’s Lutheran church at
Dorchester, after which internment was made in the Memorial
cemetery. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated.
Friends from here attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Haack, Mrs. Helena Woempner, Mrs. William Schneider, Mrs. Albert Fenske and John Habeck. Mrs. Regina Ellenbecker, Mrs. Bertha Weideman and Mrs. Tillie Lapp called at the Funeral home Monday evening.
