Stevens, Anna (8 November 1872 - 12 December 1954) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Stevens, age 82, were held Wednesday, December 15, from the Georgas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.  Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Stevens made her home at Neillsville, and the past few months had resided at the Havenett convalescent home in Owen.  She had been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she died on Sunday, December 12. 
 

She was born on November 8, 1872, in the Town of Washburn to the late Andrew Shoop and wife.  She was a lifelong resident of Clark County.  On October 14, 1896, she was married to William Stevens, who preceded her in death in January, 1954.  They farmed in the Town of Washburn until 1935, when they retired and moved to Neillsville. 
 

Survivors are two children: Irving Stevens, Neillsville, and Mrs. James (Eva) Waller of Janesville; four sisters, Mrs. Effner (Kate) Nelson, Ladysmith; Mrs. Emma Steel, Espanola, Wash.; Mrs. Grace Scheweppe, state of Washington, and Mrs. Ella Cole of California. 
 

Mrs. Stevens was a member of the Methodist Church.
