Blake, Lois
(Marriage - 23 Aug. 1958)
Miss Lois
Blake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Blake, Stevens Point, became
the bride of the Rev. Arthur Paul Becker, vicar of the Episcopal
Church of Christ the King, at Sturgeon Bay, Saturday, Aug. 23. The
ceremony was performed at 10:00 o’clock in the Church of the
Intercession, Stevens Point, before a solemn nuptial high
mass.
Mr. and Mrs.
Bradley Blake, Parker, Arizona, served as honor attendants, with
Mrs. Robert Smiley as bridesmaid and Tom Blake as groomsman. The
men are brothers of the bride.
For her
marriage, the bride chose a wedding gown of Chantilly lace and
nylon tulle. Her veil of illusion was secured to a crown of pleated
nylon tulle with an overlay of pearls. She carried a white orchid
with stephanotis.
The bridal
aides appeared in ballerina length gowns of emerald peau de soie.
They wore matching, feathered hats and carried white and yellow
mums.
The couple
will live at home in Sturgeon Bay after Sept. 14.
The Blakes formerly lived at Abbotsford.
