Jacobi, Mr./Mrs. Henry (50^th Anniv. - 21 Sept. 1958) 
 

The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacobi was celebrated Sunday, Sept. 21. The festivities began with a special prayer and blessing at Christ Lutheran church at the morning service. 
 

Immediate relatives were served dinner at the Jacobi home in the town of Holton. The honored couple held open house from 2:00 to 5:00 o’clock for friends. A 5:00 o’clock pot luck supper was served for relatives and friends. 
 

For the occasion, Mrs. Jacobi pinned a corsage of yellow carnations to a black dress with white trim. Mr. Jacobi had a yellow carnation boutonniere. 
 

Relatives and friends attending the celebration included Mrs. Leigh Ouimette, Harbor City, Cal.; Mrs. Le Roy Utke and sons, Herald and Arlen, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jacobi, Ervin Jacobi, Miss Ellen Jacobi, Mrs. Clara Jacobi and sons, Alvin and Lawrence, town of Holton; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernitt, Mr. and Mrs. Vane Gokey, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leonhardt and the Rev. amd Mrs. F. H. Sprengler and daughter, Shirley, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Vane Gokey, Jr., and family, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thess and family, Owen; 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurth and family, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roeder and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Stange and family, Mrs. Rosa Jacobi and William Wirth, all of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jacobi, Manitowoc; Mrs. Ida Wirth and son, Leroy, Cleveland; and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Vorpohl and family of Sheboygan. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobi, who were married at Dorchester, Sept. 22, 1908, have lived on their present farm in the town of Holton all their married life, and both are members of Christ Lutheran church. 
 

They have five children: a son, Ervin and daughter, Ellen, at home; Chester, town of Holton, Mrs. Leigh (Doris) Ouimette, Harbor City, Calif.; and Mrs. Le Roy (Norma) Utke, Curtiss. There are five grand children. 
 

Mrs. Frank Bernitt, Abbotsford, is the only living sister of Mr. Jacobi. Mrs. Jacobi has two sisters, Mrs. Vane Gokey, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Clara Jacobi, town of Holton, and one brother, Fred Leonhardt, Dorchester. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobi were presented with many beautiful gifts and a large, golden money tree.
