Glenzer, Ellen (Marriage - 18 Oct. 1958)

Miss Ellen Glenzer, Milwaukee, and Dale Bowen, of Slinger, repeated marriage vows, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Green Grove, with the Rev. Timmerman officiating.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Glenzer of Owen, Route 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bowen, of Curtiss, Wisconsin.

Attending the couple were Miss Paulette Krueger, Milwaukee, as maid of honor, and Dale Thompson, Curtiss, as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Myre, of Tomahawk, completed the wedding party. Mrs. Myre is a sister of the groom.

The bride’s ballerina length gown was fashioned of lace and nylon tulle, with a scalloped neckline and long, tapered sleeves. A pillbox crown, trimmed with rhinestones held her finger tip veil of illusion. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Her attendants wore dresses made with green velvet bodice and iridescent taffeta skirts. They wore matching hats and slippers and carried bouquets of yellow carnations.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. In the evening, the new Mr. and Mrs. Bowen greeted friends at a wedding dance at Kolby Park.

They will make their home in Milwaukee. The bride is employed as bookkeeper at Sperry Candy Company and the groom is a truck driver for A.B.C. Sand and Gravel.
