Louis E. Gierl, 77, Route 2, Colby, died Oct. 14 of a heart ailment.  
 

He was born Feb. 25, 1881, in Colby. He operated a cheese factory in early life, and then purchased a farm in the town of Hull, where he lived since. 
 

He is survived by a brother, George, Route 2, Colby, and three sisters.  
 

Seven brothers and one sister preceded him in death. 
 

Among those from here who attended the funeral Friday, were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Duellman, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gierl and Mrs. Oscar Seidel.
