The
Abbotsford Women’s Club met in the library Friday afternoon
with Miss Althea Rilling as hostess. Prizes were awarded to Mrs.
Harry Emling, first; Mrs. Bernard Laabs, second; Mrs. Henry
Hingiss, low and Mrs. Lawrence Neitzel, traveling prize. The next
meeting will be Nov. 14 with a committee serving. Mrs. Ole Hanson
will be chairman.
Many of the members of Marathon county Homemakers’ clubs attended Homemakers’ County Day at Wausau Thursday. A highlight of the program was modeling of wedding dresses of various years. Mrs. Clarence Rankl, Mrs. Dale Ridderbusch and Mrs. George Kadonsky, of the Holton Homemakers were among the 43 women modeling wedding dresses. Miss Elsie Bremer’s cake decorating demonstration attracted many of the homemakers.
