Baade, Fred
A. (13 Oct. 1914 - 8 Nov. 1958)
The body of
Fred A. Baade, 44, of Marshfield, who drowned in big Spirit Lake,
Oct. 13, was found Saturday afternoon about 4:00 o’clock,
floating on the east side of the lake. Most of the dragging
operations were conducted here after the boat which Mr. Baade had
rented was found empty, on the lake.
A physician
listed the cause of death as asphyxiation by
drowning.
Mr. Baade
was born Oct. 13, 1914 at Pittsville. He lived, for a time, near
Abbotsford, with his half brother, Chris Kind. In 1937 and 1938 he
was employed on the Arvid Carlson farm and for a time lived with
the Herman Podevels family near Cherokee.
At the time
of his death he was employed at the Roddis Corporation, at
Marshfield.
He leaves
his widow and one son, Lee, of Marshfield, one brother, Clarence
Baade, Montrose, Calif., and a half brother, Chris Kind,
Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson attended the funeral services held Tuesday afternoon at Christ Lutheran church, Marshfield.
