Andrews, Walter (22 FEB 1868 - 11 JAN 1955)
Walter Andrews (Androski), 86, a former farmer in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at Waukegan, Ill., on Jan. 11th, 1955 of a heart attack.
The deceased was born in Poland on Feb. 22, 1868 and came to America in 1880, spending the years until 1904 in Chicago, after which he moved to Knowlton, Wis. In 1924 he came to Thorp and settled in Reseburg Township. For the past 18 years he has lived in Waukegan, Ill.
He was united in marriage to Katherine Pawlak in Chicago on May 17, 1890. Mrs. Andrews passed away in 1936.
Mr. Andrews is survived by four sons, John, Victor and Joe of Waukegan, Ill., and Stanley of Barrington, R.I., one daughter, Helen, Mrs. Elmer sachs of Thorp, and one brother, Wm. Andrews of Chicago.
The remains were brought to Thorp and the Thorp Funeral Home and Saturday funeral services were conducted by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Chapel in the city at 10:00 a.m. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were John Lato, Steve Lato, Walter Pawlak, Stanley Arciszewski, Mathew Kopacz and Victor Romanowicz.
