Wehe, Martha (05 FEB. 1915-09 NOV. 1946)
A requiem high mass was sung for Mrs. John Wehe, 31, by the Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer, at St. Anthony’s Catholic church here last Wednesday morning. Mrs. Wehe was one of three victims killed when a Soo Line train the truck in which they were riding on the morning of Nov. 9.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Achille Ampe, Martha Wehe was born at Thorp on Feb. 5, 1915. She married John Wehe in the local Catholic church on Nov. 7, 1932. To this union were born the following children: Marceline, 13; Maryann, 11; Albert 10; Helen 8; Andrea 3; and Raymond. Six months.
She is survived by her husband, children, parents, and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. Lucille Lydiksen, Mrs. Dottie Pipkorn and Mrs. Helen Ewert, all of Riplinger; Mrs. Ruth Gotter of Loyal; Mrs. Alice Reinertson of Kelly, Ia.; Mrs. Pauline Hupt, who is somewhere out west, and Paul Ampe of Loyal.
Pallbearers at the funeral were: Paul Ampe, Louie Auman, Raymond Ampe, Eugene Wehe, Bernard Wehe and Jerome Wehe.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Ampe of Cadott; Mrs. Julius Ampe, Mr. and Mrs. Art Ampe and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ampe, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ampe of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reinertson of Kelly, Ia., and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kramer, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Weber and Mrs. Florence Schaefer, all of Rozellville.
