Paczkowski, Edward Adam (30 August 1916 - 12
December 2009)
Edward Paczkowski, age 93, of Withee, died
peacefully at his home on Satruday, December 12,
2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on
Thursday, December 17, 2009, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic
Church. Rev. Keith Apfelbeck will officiate and burial will follow
in Old ST. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery. Edward’s
grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: David Patch, Jr., James
Paczkowski, Joe Paczkowski, Shawn Paczkowski, Kelly Letvinuck and
Jeremy Hasenfang. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral
Home on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. until time of
service at the church.
Edward Adam Paczkowski was born on August 30,
1916, in rural Withee, WI, the son of Martin and Frances (Gronek)
Paczkowski. He was raised on the family farm and received his
education at area schools. After completing his education, Edward
moved to Detroit, where he worked for a short time. He then
moved back to Withee and worked on the home farm with his
father. He was united in marriage to Victoria Koperski on
November 21, 1942, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in
Thorp. Edward farmed his entire life in Withee until his
retirement.
The
joys of his life were family, farming, fishing and
hunting.
Edward is survived by his 8 children: Marvin
Paczkowski of Withee, Dennis (Betty) Paczkowski of Withee, Janice
Hasenfang of Marshfield, David Patch, Sr. of Withee, Shirley
(Ronald) Letvinuck of Greenwood, Nancy Paczkowski of Wausau, Carol
Paczkowski of New York, NY, and Jeffrey Paczkowski of Thorp.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew
him.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Victoria, on June
26, 2003; three brothers: Joseph Paczkowski, John Patch, and Leon
Patch; and four sisters: Martha Pawlak, Ann Prokopinski, Sophie
Bartsch, and Helen Ryktarsyk.
