McLellan, Shirley (Marriage - 12 February
1955)
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at Foster, Wis.
was the scene on Satruday, February 12, 1955, of the marriage of
Miss Shirley McLellan of Osseo and Gerald Marg of
Neillsville. The double ring ceremony was performed by the
Rev. Ernest Bartels at 3:00 p.m. before an altar decorated with
daffodils.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McLellan of Osseo and Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Marg of Neillsville are the parents of the
couple.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her
father, wore a Chantilly lace dress with a scalloped neckline and
the finger tip veil, which was bordered with lace, was fastened to
a crown of seed pearls. She carried red roses on a white
prayer book.
Arlene Radabaugh of North Prairie, as maid of
honor, wore a dress of deep coral with velvet jacket and net
overskirt. Mrs. Larry Carlson, sister of the groom, wore a
blue dress identical to that of the maid of honor. Each
attendant carried a colonial bouquet.
The groom was attended by James McLellan as best
man and Larry Carlson as groomsman. Ushers were Verlon Marg
and Kenneth Frase.
Little Robert Krszjzaniek, cousin of the bride,
was ring bearer, and Kathleen Dux, dressed in white taffeta and
carrying a colonial bouquet, was flower girl.
A
dinner was served to 75 guests in the church basement which was
decorated with pink, blue and white streamers and white wedding
bells.
The bride was graduated from the Central High
School at Strum. The groom is a graduate of the Neillsville High
School an served two years with the air force. He is employed
in Milwaukee.
They will make their home in Milwaukee, where
they are both employed.
Close relatives from out of town attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Radabaugh, North Prairie; Mr. and Mrs. Ray McLellan, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. William Goede, Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rhodes, Marshfield; Fred Krszjzaniek, Eau Claire; Harry Holt, Eau Claire; Gary Witt, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Carlson, Menomonie; Mr. (balance of list of names were missing.)
