Mabel (28 October 1878 - 27 February 1955)
Mrs. George
Tucker died at the home of her son, Harold Tucker, at 2 a.m.
Sunday, February 27. Mrs. Tucker had been ill for several
years.
Funeral
services were held in the Methodist church at 2 p.m.
Wednesday. The Rev. W. M. Mecklenburg officiated.
Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker,
the former Mabel Pierce, was born at Greenwood October 28,
1878. She received her education in the rural schools of
Eaton township. On July 4, 1896, she was married to George
Tucker. They lived on a farm in Eaton until 30 years
ago when they moved into their home in the city of Loyal. Mr.
Tucker died in January, 1939.
Mrs. Tucker
was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church and served as an officer
in different organizations of the church. She was also a
member of Hope Camp No. 819, R. N. A. for almost 40
years.
She is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Bessie) Blancher, of Seattle,
Wash.; two sons, Harold and William Tucker both of Loyal; one
brother, Roy Pierce, St. Helens, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Amos
(Glaydes) Davis, Downs, Kans.; six grandchildren, and 17
great-grandchildren.
Three sisters preceded her in death.
