Fensome, 78, died at her home in the city of Loyal at 2 a.m.
Saturday, February 26. She had been confined to her bed since
last September.
Mrs.
Fensome, nee Emily Bishner, was born in Cranfield, England, August
31, 1876. She received her education in England. She
was married to Walter Fensome in England, April 16, 1906.
They came to America on their wedding trip and decided to make
their home here. They settled at Walworth and lived on a farm
there until 1920, when they went to make their home on a farm near
Chetek. They lived there until 1930, when Mr. Fensome entered
the ministry of the Free Methodist Church. Seventeen years
ago they came to make their home in the parsonage of the Loyal Free
Methodist Church. While here they retired from the ministry
and purchased a home on Union Street in Loyal.
Mrs. Fensome
is survived by her husband; two daughters, Miss Alice Fensome, who
is home on furlough from mission work in Japan; Miss Ethel Fensome,
who is employed in Eau Claire; and one son Herbert Fensome,
Loyal. Two grandchildren, one brother, Amos Bishner of
Walworth, and one brother and one sister in England also survive
Mrs. Fensome.
Funeral services were held in the Loyal Free Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J. R. Putt officiating.
