Schlegelmilch, Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Golden - 2
March 1955)
Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Schlegelmilch of nearby Neillsville entertained
Wednesday evening in honor of their golden wedding
anniversary. Approximately 35 relatives gathered for an
evening of cards and music.
The
honored couple was married March 2, 1905, in Sauk County. Mr.
Schlegelmilch operated a dray line before moving to a farm in Dane
County. In 1917 they moved to a farm on the Ridge that has
been their home since. They are members of St. John’s
Lutheran Church of Neillsville.
Mr.
and Mrs. Schlegelmilch are the parents of the following children:
Mrs. William (Lillian) Turner, Milwaukee; Mrs. Emil (Alice) Kasner,
Arpin; Miss Mildred Schlegelmilch, Milwaukee; Mrs. Albert (Hazel)
Zank; Neillsville; Mrs. Richard (Esther) Clark, Waukesha; and
Norbert Schlegelmilch of Neillsville. They have 10
grandchildren.
One
of the many gifts presented to the honored couple was a bouquet of
tulips planted in a flower pot. This bouquet has 50 silver
dollars as blossoms.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark of Waukesha and Mr. and Mrs. William Turner of Milwaukee attended.
